Words are how we perceive and describe the world, how we communicate. In my working life, words have sold things, connected with people, raised funds, mobilised people and crossed cultures.

I’m a tech believer. I believe in the judicious improvement of life through technology. But words — words — I worry we are losing our connection to them through screens and memes and the loud screams of unrealistic dreams.
