I tend to react badly to the prophet-industrial complex. I’ve always been suspicious of received wisdom. The status quo brings me out in hives. Give me instead a state of eternal openness, reflexive questioning and may I never, ever, lay claim to expertise.

Knowledge is great but it’s not something to box up, preserve in aspic and present as a fait accompli. Instead, we should be sure to give it a prod as we apply and revise it constantly.
